Maxim, Mathias & David - Curtis Alto - are three music producing brothers from Ghent (Belgium). Thereby the brothers aim to combine the electronic beats with their instruments.
How it all started
Their love for music has been around for years: being just a couple of years old, their attention was grasped by the piano in their house. Later on, their passion got spread to different instruments. Maxim learned to play the guitar and Mathias the drums. It didn’t take long before David jumped in, trying to get a grip of the guitar and hence enabling them to jam together. The three brothers encouraged one another to get better, and exchanged instruments. For his 15th birthday, Mathias received a Launchpad and this immediately sparked the interest of his two elder brothers to produce electronic music. However, this gave them the feeling that something was missing. They felt that combining their instruments would somehow “close the bridge”. A bit after, the artist name Curtis Alto was born.
Curtis Alto has made amongst others remixes of Passenger, Alice on the Roof and Milo Meskens. The last one was signed by Universal Music. They have also received support on their tracks from industry heavyweights like Tiësto, Robin Schulz, Sam Feldt and Lost Frequencies and got their tracks featured on various known YouTube and Soundcloud channels. Their new single “Afraid” is currently getting airplay on various Belgian radio stations including MNM, QMusic, Topradio and Bruzz.
Besides producing music, the three brothers are heavily focusing on their live performance, combining a DJ-set with guitar, synths and percussion. Their music style during (live) performances is adapted to clubs and festival e.g. this summer they played at Tomorrowland (The Gathering).
The brothers are grateful for this support but are at the same time well aware that this is the very beginning of their journey. Curtis Alto wants to take its music to the next level while keeping the passion at the core!
